Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

ParaCOACH Pty Ltd trading as ParaCOACH Recruitment (“ParaCOACH”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of the people and organisations we work with.

Our services include recruitment and search, career and selection advisory, workforce capability development, workforce transition, enterprise learning and related consulting services.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in connection with our website, services and business activities.

We aim to collect only information that is reasonably relevant to the service or interaction involved and to handle that information responsibly.

Personal information we may collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with ParaCOACH. It may include:

  • your name and contact details;
  • employment and professional history;
  • résumé or curriculum vitae;
  • qualifications, registrations, licences and professional memberships;
  • information about roles for which you are applying or considering applying;
  • career objectives and professional development information;
  • application, selection or interview material you provide to us;
  • information about professional achievements and experience;
  • referee details and reference information where relevant;
  • information provided during recruitment, career advisory or consulting engagements;
  • correspondence and records of our interactions with you;
  • information submitted through website enquiry forms;
  • organisational and business contact information;
  • billing and transaction information where required to administer an engagement; and
  • limited technical information relating to your use of our website.

In some circumstances, information voluntarily supplied to us may include sensitive information, such as information about health, disability, professional associations or other matters.

We do not ask people to provide sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary for the particular service or process involved.

How we collect information

We generally collect information directly from you. This may occur when you:

  • contact ParaCOACH;
  • submit an enquiry;
  • engage us to provide a service;
  • participate in a recruitment or selection process;
  • provide a résumé, application or supporting documentation;
  • participate in coaching, career development or capability activities;
  • communicate with us by email, telephone, video conference or in person; or
  • otherwise provide information to us in connection with our services.

Where relevant to a recruitment or consulting engagement, we may also collect information from:

  • referees you have nominated or authorised us to contact;
  • client organisations;
  • publicly available professional sources;
  • government or professional registers;
  • recruitment platforms or services through which you have chosen to provide information; and
  • other sources where collection is authorised by you or otherwise appropriate and lawful.

Why we collect and use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries;
  • provide recruitment, career advisory, coaching, capability or consulting services;
  • understand a candidate's experience, capability and career objectives;
  • assist in developing résumés, applications and selection material;
  • assess candidates against the requirements of a position;
  • communicate with candidates and client organisations during a recruitment process;
  • undertake reference, qualification, registration or other agreed checks;
  • administer engagements and provide customer service;
  • improve our services and business operations;
  • manage legal, regulatory, risk and record-keeping requirements; and
  • communicate with you about matters reasonably connected with your engagement with ParaCOACH.

We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose merely because we possess it.

Recruitment and candidate information

Providing ParaCOACH with a résumé or other career information does not give ParaCOACH unrestricted authority to distribute that information.

ParaCOACH will not provide an identifiable candidate's résumé, application information or other personal information to a prospective employer or client organisation without the candidate's knowledge and consent, except where disclosure is required or authorised by law.

Where a candidate agrees to be considered for a particular employment opportunity, relevant information may be disclosed for that recruitment process.

Where additional disclosure is proposed outside the purpose for which the information was originally collected, ParaCOACH will seek agreement where appropriate.

Referees and third-party information

If you provide information about another person, such as a referee, you should ensure that you are authorised or otherwise entitled to provide it.

Referee information is primarily used for the relevant recruitment or selection process. Including a referee's details on a résumé does not mean that we will contact them; referees are contacted only where that is relevant to a particular process.

Sensitive and health information

Résumés, career discussions and recruitment processes may sometimes include health, injury, disability or other sensitive information.

ParaCOACH aims not to collect sensitive information unless it is reasonably necessary for the relevant service or process.

Please avoid providing medical or other sensitive information that is not relevant to the purpose for which you are engaging with ParaCOACH.

Children and young people

ParaCOACH provides career-development programs that may be relevant to secondary-school students, including Year 10 students.

The website is not designed to collect extensive personal information directly from children. Initial enquiries concerning school-age participants should normally be made by:

  • a parent;
  • a guardian;
  • a school; or
  • another responsible organisation.

Where information about a young person is later required to deliver a program, we collect only what is reasonably necessary and use appropriate consent and information-handling arrangements.

Organisational clients

Where ParaCOACH provides recruitment, workforce capability, learning, transition or consulting services to an organisation, we may collect professional contact information and other information reasonably required for the engagement.

We ask organisational clients not to provide unnecessary personal or sensitive information about employees, candidates or other people in initial enquiries.

Marketing communications

We will not subscribe you to marketing communications merely because you make an enquiry or participate in a recruitment process.

If we introduce newsletters or other promotional communications in future, we will use an appropriate consent mechanism and provide a way to unsubscribe.

Transactional or service-related communications, such as replies to your enquiry or messages about an engagement, are not marketing communications.

Service providers

ParaCOACH may use trusted providers to support our business, including for:

  • website hosting;
  • email and communications;
  • document and data storage;
  • business productivity systems;
  • recruitment or applicant-management services;
  • accounting and payment administration;
  • website analytics; and
  • professional advisory services.

Some technology providers may process or store information outside Australia. These arrangements may change depending on the providers and services we use.

Website analytics and cookies

Our website may use limited cookies or similar technologies required for website operation, security, performance or analytics.

We aim to use analytics proportionately and do not intend at launch to use behavioural advertising or cross-site remarketing technology.

If our use of analytics, advertising technologies or cookies changes materially, we will update this Privacy Policy and related website notices.

Security

ParaCOACH takes reasonable steps, appropriate to the nature of our business and the information involved, to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business or record-keeping purposes, or as required or permitted by law.

Access and correction

You may contact ParaCOACH at contact@paracoach.com.au to:

  • ask what information we hold about you;
  • request access to that information;
  • request correction of that information; or
  • request deletion where appropriate.

We will consider each request and respond as required by law. In some circumstances — for example, where we must retain records for legal or legitimate business reasons — we may not be able to delete all information, and we will explain why.

Privacy concerns and complaints

If you have a concern or complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us at contact@paracoach.com.au.

Depending on the applicable law, you may also have avenues of complaint through the relevant Australian privacy regulator.

Our website may link to external websites. ParaCOACH does not control the privacy practices of external websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
