Under the graduate pathway, graduate paramedics spend more than AUD $60,000 on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree – Ba Paramedic Practice, Ba Health Science (Paramedicine), and Graduate Diploma of Clinical Practice (Paramedic) – before being eligible to apply for most Australian Ambulance Services.
Some ambulance services still offer the vocational education and training paramedic program (VET), where the agency pays for your qualifications training (e.g. Diploma Paramedic Science).
